Willow

Sky Ridge Light Rail Station - Lone Tree, Colorado

“Willow” is the crowning icon to the City of Lone Tree’s new light rail station. Approximately 20 miles south of Denver, the station is part of the Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) EFR Rail Extension which opened in May, 2019. The goal was for the art to have an urban prominence by both vehicle and by foot, and serve as a key wayfinding device to the surrounding community. The form of the artwork was inspired by the surrounding prairie grasses and the quaking aspens found in the Colorado foothills.
